About the Workshop

"Why is Israel so sensitive to criticism?"
It’s a question I often hear — and on the surface, reactions from Israel or its supporters may seem excessive. But here’s the reality: no place criticizes the Israeli government more loudly and openly than Israel itself. Protests, media debates, and political disagreements are part of Israel's everyday life.

So why does criticism abroad feel different? Because much of what we see at international demonstrations or on social media isn’t just political critique — it often includes antisemitic symbols, calls for Israel’s elimination, or slogans that erase complexity and promote hate.

In this workshop, we’ll explore the line between legitimate criticism and dangerous rhetoric. Using real examples from protests and online posts, we’ll ask:

What’s fair? What’s biased? And how can we talk about Israel and Palestine without fueling division?

This isn’t about avoiding hard conversations — it’s about having them with clarity and responsibility.
